Summary:
Portugese footballstar is now officially the most expensive footballplayer to have ever lived on earth. His transfer to Real Madrid for approximately 80 million pound is the most expensive one. He has signed a contract for six years. He will also be presented at the sixth of July. Sir Alex Ferguson has only good things to say about his former superstar winger. Things like, he is the best player and Cristiano has been a marvellous player for Manchester United. This transfer is one of the many that we can expect from Real Madrid. They recently bought Kaka for 56 million pound.

Reaction:
I think this is great. I am a big fan of Ronaldo and Real Madrid. The fact that there are people willing to pay this much for the skills of a football player says only that football is the most loved sport in the world. However if transfer fees keep rising this much who knows where it will end. With the economic crisis right now it is not logical that Real Madrid is spending this kind of money. I say enough is enough. There has to be a limit to the money clubs can spend to purchase a player. As a football fan I think this is the best for the sport
